CONQUEROR® AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Concern for the environment is one of our major priorities:
- We use only Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) pulps.
- Pulp is sourced only from commercially managed forests.
- All mills are accredited with the International Environmental Management Standard.
- Investment in reduced water used and effuent volume processes. All effluent plant residue is put to product re-use thus eliminating the need for landfill disposal.

CONQUEROR® WATERMARKS
The new look Conqueror range also brings you new look watermarks. Synonymous with quality, performance and professionalism, the new watermark designs are positioned centrally in the lower third of each A4 and letter sheets.
All products in the Texture family show the word Conqueror as a double line watermark, recognising the classic appeal of these papers.
The Smooth group of papers show the Conqueror name as a discreet and contemporary single line watermark, highligthing the resolutely modern look and feel of these papers.

DESK-TOP GUARANTEE
Due to its unique chemical formulation all finishes in the Conqueror Connossieur, Conqueror Texture, and Conqueror Smooth ranges benefit from the Conqueror desk-top performance guarantee; all sheets up to and including 120 g/m2 are guaranteed for pre-printing and subsequent use on all mono and colour desk-top laser and ink-jet machines, subject to manufacturer's guidance on grammage and use.
All items in the Conqueror Concept iridescent range, up to and including 160 g/m2 give superb desk-top laser printing results and are guaranteed for pre-printing and subsequent use on colour or mono desk-top laser machines, subject to manufacturer's guidance on grammage and use. the iridescent range is also suitable for ink-jet usage.

The whole range of Conqueror papers, text and boards give excellent printing results with all mayor print processes and can be printed like any other uncoated paper. To optimise your print results we offer some recommendations:

Printing and finishing guidelines

Screen Ruling: For optimun print results a screen of 133 to 150 dpi shold be used. Finer screens, up to a maximun of 200 dpi can also give very good results with careful ink density control. For dark 4 colour images with higher ink density, UCR (under colour removal) may be required depending on the quality of the visual. This will also help to reduce the ink drying time.

Printing Inks: Conventional, positive drying inks should be used with or without Infra Red drying assistance. UV inks may also be used. Avoid using overnight/stay fresh/duct-stable inks. Always allow sufficient drying time. Anti set-off spray is recommended when printing multiple colours. Use laser stable inks for subsequent laser printing. It is always advisable to consult your ink supplier about specific projects to ensure ink suitability.

Litho Printing: For optimun results on textured and embossed papers increase the blanket pressure or use a softer blanket to achieve consistent ink lay down.

Varnishing: To achieve a gloss varnish, it is essential to pre-seal the surface. Silk screen Matt UV varnish should be used first, followed by subsequent applications of Gloss UV varnish to achieve the desired effect. Ensure suitable inks are used prior to varnishing and that the inks are completely dry before varnish application. Not recommended for paper weights.

Blind Embossing: Blind Embossing gives an extremely attractive end result. For subsequent laser printing, we recommend a shallow emboss to allow good feeding and to avoid damaging the emboss.

Hot Foil Blocking: All finishes in the Conqueror range can be foil blocked. Foil blockers can recommend the best foil for the image and paper chosen.

Silk Screen: All finishes can be successfully silk-screened.

Folding and Creasing: To guarantee good folding results, prior creasing is recommended. Creases shoud be made parallel to the grain of the board. For best results a creasing rule and matrix system should be used. Fold into the bead for prominent folds.

Litho Printing: The unique surface treatment of the Iridescent paper interacts with the printed image and shows through the ink to produce a very special and highly original effect. It is normal for some of the special paper surface coating to transfer to the blanket. On normal run lenghts, this should not cause the print quality to deteriorate. The iridescent characteristics of the sheet will be compromised if using varnishes, seals and laminates.

Thermography: A trial is recommended if planning to use thermography.
